Around £1000 for local good causes is now being distributed

A whole range of good causes are to benefit from the first Whitchurch Festival.

So many worthy causes applied that not all were able to be successful this time but with plans now advancing for the 2009 event it is hoped even more will be passed back to local activities and organisations later this year
The recipients are:

Rising Fives Playschool
Whitchurch Kingfisher Centre
The Millennium Green
Whitchurch Amateur Dramatic Society (WADS):
Whitchurch Cubs
Whitchurch Arts
Gill Nethercott Centre
Whitchurch Parish Hall
Whitchurch Baptist Church
Yallah Belly Dancers
Cats Protection League

Although funds from 2008 have been allocated
any local organisation, or individual can still register an interest for 2009.
